CHAMPAGNE

Tribaut are a fourth generation family concern based in the outskirts of Romery, near Epernay.

Their 25 ha of vineyards on sunny south west facing slopes are split between the three principal varietals - 30% chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier. This allows all of their wines to be produced without the need to buy in grapes.

Two traditional wine presses are used at the start of the wine making process - respecting the history of the region - before more modern methods take over.

The Champagnes are highly recommended by the Guild of Sommelieres in France and have featured at the Grand Dinner of the 'Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne' in the UK. It is also the House Champagne at the Liverpool Playhouse Theatre.

• 30% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier. (20-30% reserve wine)
• Dosage 10.5g, acidity 4.45
• 3 years bottle age on the lees
• Good maturity and a balanced dosage produces a well developed rounded style.
• Silver medal IWC 2006 - Panel tasting notes: “Persistent mousse; pale gold. Sweet brioche taste; creamy and fresh”.

• 60% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier. (20-40% reserve wine)
• Dosage 10.75g, acidity 4.10
• 4-6 years bottle age on the lees
• Light and fruity style; delicate aromas with refreshing red fruit flavours and a full finish.

• 40% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier. (20-30% reserve wine)
• Dosage 11.0g, acidity 4.45
• 42 months bottle age on the lees
• With a nice degree of richness from the long ageing, candied fruit flavoursadd to the character of the wine.

• 70% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir from selected parcels
• Dosage 11.45g, acidity 4.95
• 6-8 years bottle age on the lees
• Round, mature and balanced with plenty of fruit.
• Silver medal IWC 2006 - Panel tasting notes: “Bright, fine bubbles. Toasty, crisp, yeasty fruit. Ripe fruit on late palate. Toasty length. Lovely balance and complexity”.

• 60% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay
• A Grande Reserve conceived for the Millennium, this is a superb blend of older vintages in a style akin to Laurent Perrier's Grande Siecle.
