Mendoza

Argentina - Mendoza

Mendoza is Argentina’s most important wine region contributing
to the country being the fifth largest wine producer in the world. It is
planted with nearly three quarters of the country’s vines including the
most important – Malbec.

Located in the far western expanse of Argentina, Mendoza has both a
continental climate and semi-arid desert conditions. The vineyards
stretch from the foothills of the Andes to over 1,200m (4,000ft) and in this very hot region the higher up the cooler it is – helping these high altitude vineyards give Argentine wines a great character, Argentine wines their great character, especially the indigenous Torrontés.
