Congratulations to the Manchester Food & Drink Award Winners

October 2017

With over 100,000 visitors, the 12-day Manchester Food & Drink Festival once again proved a huge success earlier this month.  Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the festival has been a key champion of the city’s diverse and delicious food and drink scene.

The annual awards, which run in conjunction with the festival and comprise of 20 different categories, were also announced in October so we would like to wish a huge congratulations to all the winners and entrants.

A special well done goes out to our customers who we’re delighted to say dominated this year’s awards.  El Gato Negro won the Premium Fine Dining Venue of the Year, Ancoats General Store won Best Food & Drink Retailer, Evuna won the Sustainability Award, The Marble Arch won Pub of the Year, and Trove won Tea/Coffee Shop of the Year.

Baratxuri doubled up this year with the Out of Town Venue of the Year and Casual Restaurant of the Year awards and final praise has to go to the amazingly talented Matt Nutter (pictured below), who picked up Chef of the Year, and his team at the Allotment Restaurant for winning Best Vegetarian Offering of The Year.
