Super8 IPA – 33cl bottle
Haacht’s twist on the classic IPA – brewed with bottom fermentation, as are lagers. A hoppy delight with a punchy abv and a crisp bite.
SUPER 8 is the branding for Haacht’s highly rated and award-winning modern ‘craft’ range – their idiosyncratic take on traditional Belgium beer styles.
This range of beers is intended to blow an unexpected wind through the rich Belgian beer landscape. Each offers the best and most popular characteristics of the beer style, infused with a firm dash of fun.
Haacht brewery was founded in 1898. With over 125 years of brewing experience Haacht remain a true family-run brewery, now led by the fourth generation, and have chosen to stay proudly independent.
They made their reputation by brewing Belgium’s first Pilsner lager (before Stella Artois), now sold as Primus.
Old gold colour with a small, tight head. The hops on the nose are not overdone – more traditional English IPA than American craft. The palate is full with mellow fruit rising above a hop character. The finish is balanced – again slightly more malt than hop.
