Finca La Carrasca Sauvignon Blanc / Verdejo

Crisp fresh wine, made from Sauvignon Blanc (80%) and Verdejo (20%) from the vineyards of La Carrasca, part of Bodegas Lozano.

The Sauvignon grapes are harvested early in August to preserve the natural fresh sour and exuberant tropical fruit aromas. The Verdejo adds aromatic citrus notes here, creating a nice balance.

La Carrasca is a small tree of the Fagaceae family originated from the Mediterranean region, which has sweet or bitter acorns.

Finca La Carrasca is one of three labels from Bodegas Lozano, the largest privately owned and family run Bodega in Spain, well regarded for sourcing quality grapes from La Mancha.

About the Producer

Bodegas Lozano

Bodegas Lozano was established in 1853 when wine was first produced from their vineyards. Four generations later, the company, which was founded in 1920 when the first winery was built, is the largest privately owned, family run Bodega in Spain and the 5th largest overall.

Situated in the heart of La Mancha at Villarrobledo, Bodegas Lozano own almost 1000ha on two estates within 5 miles of the winery. La Carrasca and Los Salvadores are planted with 11 different varietals. Collaborating with more than 1000 local growers to source and vinify additional requirements the Bodega uses technology that is both modern and managed to the very highest standards.

The winery works closely with the local community and has worked with generations of the same family growers who surround the estate.

“Our lands represent the work and lives of our people and our effort will also be our best legacy.”
