Amarone della Valpolicella Cerasum, DOCG

Casa Vinicola Bennati has from its outset been devoted to producing the local wine Valpolicella, specifically the ageing of Amarone. These are still the flagship wines of their portfolio.

Grapes for Amarone are harvested some three weeks later than usual to allow for a greater concentration. The bunches are put in small crates inside the “fruttaio”, a large room where ventitalion is controlled by opening windows, allowing the grapes to shrivel.

Tasting Notes:

Intense scents of ripe fruit and jam with delicate floral notes and tertiary ones of tobacco and cinnamon. Very elegant on the palate with a complex finish of cherries, blackberries and raspberries.
