Alhambra Reserva Roja| 7.2% Granada, Spain
A ‘Bock’ style lager, adapted to the Spanish palate, full of delicate notes with a flavour that is much smoother and silkier than expected given its high abv.
Inspired by traditional German Bock beer recipes, the longer fermentation and resting period in the brewing of bock beers generates primary fruity aromas. The following maturation or lagering eliminates a “green beer” bouquet, making the aromas that come from the malt - cereal, grain, toast and caramel - more clearly perceptible.

Tasting Notes: A copper coloured lager that is full yet delicate; its intensity conceals unexpected and extraordinary delicacy. Complex aroma with marked notes of toasted cereal along with intense, fruity notes. When drinking, new caramel and grain flavours emerge whilst the fruity flavours grow stronger. On the palate it presents a pronounced, although refined and balanced, bitterness with slight acidity. The full-bodied texture leaves behind a pleasant, bitter aftertaste.
ABV 7.2%

Food pairing suggestions: Its alcohol content pairs well with fatty dishes, as the alcohol “cleanses” the palate. Appetisers such as charcuterie or asparagus and wild mushrooms. Main course; the toasty notes combine perfectly with the caramelised flavours of roasted or stewed meats, such as oxtail or grilled sirloin, and its bitterness is complemented by vegetable flavours. Finish with very aged cheeses.
