Ambar Draught | 3.4% Zaragoza, Spain

£60.20

Ambar is a premium lager made with a unique brewing method that grinds whole hop cones immediately before they are added to the boil - a technique designed to maximise the hops essential oils and alpha acids. Slow fermentation at a low temperature respects the demands of its prized yeast and it is kegged at 1°C to enhance and ensure that flavours and aromas remain to the fore.

Located in Zaragoza, northern Spain, Cervezas Ambar is the leading beer brand in Aragon. It is fully independent and maintains a 100% family-owned spirit.

Ambar was founded in 1900 in the historic San José neighbourhood as La Zaragozana brewery. They maintain a craft approach to brewing in their new, modern brewery which opened in 2020, beside the original which now serves as an educational brewing center and museum featuring the traditional open fermentation vats and old wooden machinery.

Over its 125 years Ambar has launched multiple pioneering and innovative styles, including several firsts in Spain (first alcohol-free beer, first wheat beer, first gluten-free beer, and first sugar-free beer).

With a total of 96 awards in the past 10 years, Ambar received 14 brewing accolades in 2025 - including crowned ”Country Winner” at the Word Beer Awards plus claiming 6 Gold Medals at the World Beer Challenge. In 2024 Ambar Especial achieved a perfect 100 score and “Best Beer in the World” at the W.B.C.
