Drinks company Melchiori was founded in 1994 to produce apple juice and apple vinegar. They converted to organic growing in 1998. Their emphasis on ‘natural drinks’ led into an expansion with the Angioletti range of ciders in 2004. Craft beer production followed in 2013. Sustainability info: Melchiori are environmentally focused. All packaging is recyclable and all waste goes into bio-digesters. The solar panels, installed in 2011, output 400,000kW per annum and energy generated in production is heat exchanged to be recycled into the offices and their restaurant when required. Where suitable, their buildings are constructed from sustainable woods.
