Kuchlbauer Turmweisse | 5.9% Bavaria, Germany
Brauerei zum Kuchlbauer is a Bavarian Weissbier (wheat beer) specialist. They brew in accordance with the Bavarian Beer Purity Law of 1516 to traditional recipes using the best local ingredients
Named after the famous Kuchlbauer Tower (Turm) featured on the label – an eccentric observation tower, whose exhibition rooms pay homage to the culture of beer brewing in Bavaria – Turmweisse has a particularly zesty and tangy personality; making it a great choice for beer enthusiasts.
Kuchlbauer can be regarded as one of the oldest breweries in the world: it can trace its origins back to 1300 when a brewery in Abensberg obtained official brewing rights from the local court. It is now run by the 9th generation of the Horsch family, who acquired the brewery and the restaurant Zum Kuchlbauer in 1904.
Brewing uses their own pure water from a private well and self-bred strains of yeast. They have long-term procurement partnerships – including organic producers – supplying hops from the Hallertau, Bavarian Jura and Gäuboden grown barley.

Tasting Notes: Golden blonde colour with a rich and lightly compact head. A slightly higher carbonation accentuates the zesty aromas and flavours. Fruity notes of apricot and mandarin combine with subtle nuances of biscuit, giving pleasantly robust aromas.
A fuller, complex palate of tropical fruit and citrus with caramel/toffee malt and clove spice. There is sweetness and more hop character on the balanced and refreshing finish.
