Aljibes Tinto 20lt keg | Tierra de Castilla, Spain
An organically farmed, high altitude, low intervention 100% Tempranillo wine available in 20lt Key-kegs.
The sustainably framed estate is situated on a high desert plateau in the east of Albecete, Castilla-la-Mancha. The 400 acres of vineyards at nearly 3000 feet are a mix of well draining clay, chalk and limestone. The height, soils and arid climate are well suited to low yielding and long maturing grape varietals that point to a classically rounded La Mancha style of wine.
Winemaking takes place in temperature controlled stainless steel vessels with minimal use of sulphur and exposure to oxygen. Four months in neutral oak barrels adds complexity whilst preserving the primary character of the fruit.
