Aylesbury Estate Peter Series Chardonnay | Ferguson Valley, Australia

£20.20

Pater Series Chardonnay epitomises the classic style favoured by afficionados of old-school Chardonnays. Powerful, oaked and full-malo, it offers a serious, rich and powerful expression that is sure to captivate discerning palates and fans of a classic Burgundy style.

The Pater Series pays homage to the legacy of five generations of fathers on the Aylesbury Estate and their rare unbroken chain of succession.

Only premium grapes are selected to create these limited-volume wines. They were harvested in the cool morning, then gently pressed into new (30%) and used French oak barriques for alcoholic fermentation using a proprietary yeast. A portion of the wine underwent partial malolactic fermentation. Regular bâtonnage over 9 months kept the yeast lees suspended in the wine, adding texture. The wine was filtered prior to bottling.

This wine represents the pinnacle of Aylesbury Estates winemaking craft, showcasing the exceptional quality of their fruit and the meticulous attention to detail in the production process.
