Baie d'Azur Mediterranee Rose | Ardeche, France

£11.80

A rosé wine with an outstanding fresh and fruity character, embodying the light, summery flavors of the Mediterranean region.

A blend of 95% Grenache Noir and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon from vineyards located in Southern Ardèche. The vines are planted on hillsides and gentle slopes made up of chalky-clay soil and alluvial areas. The climate is typically Mediterranean.

Grapes are harvested when the temperature is at its lowest, and with the ripest selected as the wine is made only from “free-run juice” (the berries are not crushed). The alcoholic fermentation is carried out at a low temperature. The wine’s character is full and sweet despite the low 1g/l residual sugar.

Vignerons Ardechois are the bigger producer of rose wines in the region, the style accounts for 40% of the co-operatives production.
