Barahonda Organic Barrica | Yecla, Spain

£15.90

Barahonda Barrica is a 60/40 blend of organic grapes from 40 year old Monastrell and 20 year old Syrah vines. The vineyards are on 70% limestone, 15% sand and 15% rock.

The best grapes are carefully selected and vinified separately. When the alcoholic fermentation is completed, the wine is transferred to French oak barrels for six months.

Barrica Monastrell / Syrah was the winery’s first wine to gain organic status.

Barahonda make balanced and expressive wines full of colour, flavour and complexity which have their own personality. Their logo points to their wines being rooted in the soil and made from the vines. Grapes are carefully nurtured, as an essential part of the personality and quality of the wine.
