Barahonda Summum Crianza Organic | Yecla, Spain
Summum Crianza is one of Barahonda’s premium Monastrell offerings.
From ungrafted and organically cultivated 40 years old vines growing in limestone and rocky soils. The grapes are selected upon reaching the winery and go through a maceration-fermentation process in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperatures ranging from 20°C to 25°C. The resulting wine is racked into barrels to undergo malolactic fermentation and then aged for 16 months in oak barrels, 90% of which are of American and the remaining 10% are French.
The winery makes balanced and expressive wines full of colour, flavour and complexity which have their own personality.
The Barahonda logo points to their wines being rooted in the soil and made from the vines. Grapes are carefully nurtured, as an essential part of the personality and quality of the wine.
