It’s moderate, continental climate enjoys cool nights and long warm summer days, helping give balance and structure to the wines.

Calcannia’s estate grown Shiraz grapes (just over 18ha in total) shine in these conditions ideal for a richness and concentration of flavour. Placed in older French barrels, and bottled with minimal filtration, the resulting wine is a true expression of Shiraz from the Clare Valley region.
