Castelo do Mar Albariño | Rias Baixas, Spain
Castelo do Mar is made entirely from hand picked Albariño grapes sourced from Veiga de Princesa’s estate of 18 hectares in the Condado subregion, within the Rias Baixas Appellation.
The growing on trellis vines allows the grapes to be fully ventilated and in full sun. The ideal characteristics of the granite terrain helps avoid much of the pesticide treatments and provide naturally low acidity musts. This also eliminates any malolactic fermentation of the wine and preserves the delicate varietal aroma and fresh flavours of the Albariño grape.
