El Goru Rosado | Jumilla, Spain
A great choice for drinkers looking for an off-dry rosé wine that is also wonderfully crisp and fleshy. Given the big character of the Goru reds, this is comparatively delicate.
Selected Garnacha grapes are sourced from Castilla de la Mancha, hand-picked into small boxes, sorted and carefully pressed. Colour is obtained by the Signee Method – the red skins are macerated with the must until the desired colour has been reached. The skins are then removed and fermentation in a stainless-steel tank at controlled temperatures starts. After the end of the fermentation the juice rests onthe fine lees for several months.
Ego Bodegas, now a decade old, is a boutique winery driven by three concepts – Ego, Talento, Infinito, which are: Ego, the concept of the self; Talento, the capacity for the performance or execution of an occupation; Infinito, the limitless power of the dream.
The striking Gorú image – the “mad hairy fella” – is that of a local character who lived as a hermit.

Grapes: Garnacha
Tasting Notes: A bright salmon/medium-pink colour, elegant and vibrant. On the nose there is a great intensity of aromas typical of Garnacha: wild berries, redcurrant, raspberry and blackberries are easy to recognise, backed by delicate herbs. The palate is slightly sweet, elegant and smooth tasting with an interesting crispness that refreshes and rejuvenates the wine. Quite a long finish with a nice delicacy.
