Glou Glou Rouge 20lt keg | Loire, France

£14.70

"Glou Glou" is a French term, like "glug-glug," describing the sound of liquid being gulped down. It also references easy-drinking wines that you want to keep drinking.

This range of draught wines covers a Cote de Gascoigne white, Loire red and Languedoc rose. They are part of Bordeaux based Maison Idiart’s range of premium wines in keg format.

100% Gamay from the clay-limestone soils of the Loire.

Winemaker and founder Nicolas Idiart is focused on new projects and ways to make innovations in the industry whilst maintaining an artisanal approach to winemaking and producing terroir expressive wines.

He maintains wines on in kegs/on tap offer many benefits: they remain fresh for up to 3 months, are more environmentally friendly – reducing carbon-footprint by 96% - and are more cost-effective.

There are savings at all levels: bottle, cork, and carton costs are eliminated; the waste from throwing away part bottles of oxidized wine is ended; transport overheads are significantly reduced as the weight of a keg is significantly lighter than the equivalent in bottles, and the kegs are fully recyclable.
