Goru Blanco | Jumilla, Spain

£14.30

An aromatic white wine with Moscatel (Muscat de Alexandria) to the fore on the noes backed by the weightier character of Chardonnay on the palate.

The grapes, sourced from supervised partner vineyards in adjoining regions of Almeria and Alicante, are harvested at night, once they have reached optimum ripeness, thus enhancing an intense aroma. Low- temperature fermentation is carried out to preserve the individual aromas of each variety.

Ego Bodegas, now over a decade old, is a boutique winery driven by three concepts – Ego, Talento, Infinito – which are: Ego, the concept of the self; Talento, the capacity for the performance or execution of an occupation; Infinito, the limitless power of the dream.

The striking label image - Gorú, the “mad hairy fella” – is that of a local character who lived as a hermit.
