Lignum Vitas | Sicily, Italy
A surprising blend of the distinctive Frappato, a traditional grape from Sicily, and Shiraz grown in this unique terroir. The cuvee consists of 75% Frappato and 25% Shiraz, vinified separately and then blended.
Lignum Vitis, whose name alludes to the process of ageing the wine in large barrels, is mouth filling, full bodied and structured with a persistent chocolate finish and an exceptional balance between its fruity aromas and the notes of oak.
The visually striking and very unusual label is made from wood veneer.
Awards:
Gold medal – Berliner
