Tribaut Blanc de Chardonnay NV | Champagne, France
A ‘Blanc de Blanc’ Champagne, 100% Chardonnay and Extra-Brut, produced from terroirs in the Vallee de Brunet – Romery, Fleury la Rivière and Cormoyeux.
This floral, mineral cuvée is blended with 20% wines from old Chardonnay wine, aged in large oak casks (foudres).
It is matured for 36 months sur lie before disgorgement; dosage is 6 grams of sugar per litre.
Since 2019, Tribaut has been one of the first Champagne houses to convert to fully organic growing – a rarity in Champagne and something that for the largeHouses is almost impossible.
Awards:
• 16.5/20 by Jancis Robinson
• Coup de Coeur (favourite) and 2 stars in the Guide Hachette des Vins
• Gold Medal at the Sakura Japan Wine Awards (Japan)
• Silver Medal at the International Wine Challenge
• Gold and Silver Medal at the Chardonnay du Monde competition
• 86 points, Recommended – Decanter, December 2023
