Origin: Wrattonbully, Australia
Grapes: Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes: Dark ruby with aromas of cranberries, pomegranate and plum with some spice, herbs and coffee. The palate is of deep rather than sweet red fruits and includes some tart cherry notes here and on the medium length finish. A smooth texture and silky tannins make it immediately approachable, (whilst still capable of some ageing) and an appealing freshness keeps the finish lively. Can be served chilled.

Food pairing suggestions: Enough freshness for roast poultry and richer fish, while the savoury, earthy side of Pinot Noir works particularly well with mushrooms, lentils and gently spiced vegetable dishes. Try matching this wine with roast duck with cherry sauce, herb-roasted chicken with lentils or miso-glazed mushrooms with noodles.
