Okanagan Pale Ale ~ 35.5cl can

A balanced and smooth Pale Ale – tasty and approachable; one that is distinctly different to hop driven American Pale Ales.

First brewed by Okanagan Spring in 1989 – British Columbia’s original pale ale and first craft brand. It is fruity on the palate, moderately hoped, malty body with a nice crisp and dry finish.

Clear amber / dark copper colour with a biscuity aroma and malt dominated palate with good fruit and hop balance in a classic UK Pale Ale style – not too bitter and very smooth.

About the Brand

Okanagan Spring

One of the early microbreweries in British Columbia, Okanagan Spring was opened in 1985 by German immigrants Jakob Tobler and Buko Von Krosigk – inspired by the natural surroundings — and a total lack of good, local beer.

Okanagan Spring, based in Vernon, has dominated the regional microbrewery scene since the mid-90’s. The product line was originally oriented toward lagers, but the company soon found out that there was a much more enthusiastic market for ‘craft’ beer.

The brewers have 100+ years combined experience, and are stringent about ingredients. Only the best will do: premium two-row Canadian barley, quality hops, their own signature yeast strain and 100% pure Okanagan spring water.

In 1996, the company was purchased by Sleeman.
