Carnation Gin
Carnation is a premium, London Dry type, gin created in 2016 but obtained by traditional distillation. The El Clavel company was founded in 1896 in Cazalla de la Sierra, a whitewashed village nestled among holm and oak trees in the heart of Sierra Norte in Seville.
The gin is blended in Andalusia from a base alcohol that complies with the company principles – wheat distillate of whole wheat, natural and without genetic manipulation. It is made in France with water from the Alps. The final product makes use of a double distillation (London system) with juniper berries.
It has a high graduation, macerated with botanists including cilantro, angelica root, infusion of tea and the feel of orange and lemon citrus fruits from local Andalusia. It is brought to strength by adding Cazalla water – pure local spring water.
