Ca del Lago Inzolia
Inzolia is a varietal ideally suited to Sicily’s climate of bright sunshine and moderate rainfall and its terrain of loose, sandy soils.
It makes up 85% of Ca del Lago and is green picked to ensure it’s crisp charater and low abv.
Light pale straw colour with extremely fragrant aromas of tropical fruit, pineapple and herbaceous notes. The taste is smooth and gentle with ripe fruit backed by notes of almond on the finish.
Rich stone fruits, peach, apricot and hints of ripe apple. Fruit driven with a balanced crispness; soft and long finish
Ideal as an aperitif, great with seafood or with risotto, light pasta or vegetarian dishes with a tomato base and soft cheeses.
About the Producer
Enoitalia derives from ‘e eni Italia’ – “And us, Italy”.
The project started in 1986 and, under the management of Giorgio Pizzolo and his three brothers Giuliano, Augusto and Floriano, for the past 30 years has had a clear objective: to be global ambassadors for Italian wine.
Valuing and promoting the uniqueness of each Italian varietal and its region, 80% of its production is exported to over 80 countries on 5 continents.
The growth of Enoitalia is supported through this international development, by its unique business model and by continuous investments in production capacity and distribution network.
Starting long before it became fashionable, they have a long track record in sustainability – their latest project is to significantly reduce their energy requirements. They are part of VIVA, a project of the government ministry for the ecological transition of Italian viticulture.
They strongly believe in high-certified quality standards and follow the stringent protocols of evaluation of many global certification standards.
