About the Producer

François Martenot

The history of Maison François Martenot dates back to the beginning of the 20th century when Lucien Gustave Martenot acquired a 10ha domaine in Savigney-les-Beaune that had been founded by the then sole owner of Chateau du Clos Vougeot.

From this illustrious start Martenot, based in Meursault and now part of Les Grandes Chais de France, has extended its activities through Burgundy and Beaujolais to the Rhone and Languedoc – the latter, for those customers that have good memories, was the JC Beauvoir range.
