Made from their own vines in single estate vineyards, the Cabernet Franc grapes are given a long maceration before a natural malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged in oak for eight months with cold stabilisation and light filtration prior to bottling.

The region of San Juan is the second largest grape and wine producing region in the country, with over 47000ha planted. Tulum Valley, is the most important of the five in the province. These valleys have an annual average temperature of 17° C, precipitations of 90 mm. per year and alluvial soils made of sand and clay. This region’s climatic conditions have a high impact on the wine’s differentiating quality – fruity wines with unique personality and style. According to winemakers with a vast experience in the region, this characteristic is explained by the warm and very dry conditions and unique sun exposure of an average of 330 days a year, the very low level of precipitation.
A bright ruby-red color and notes of cloves, bell pepper, spicy and red fruit on the nose. This wine is loved for its persistent and silky mouthfeel with sweet tannins and round final mouth-feel.

Somewhere Else Vineyards
Somewhere Else Vineyards is a project undertaken by Las Invernadas winery. They are passionate about bringing the maximum expression of the terroir where the grapes come from into each wine.
Located in the Tulum Valley Las Invernadas finds itself in a magic place at the foot of Los Andes, an inspiring quiet oasis surrounded by mountains. Tulum is main valley in the province of San Juan at 30 km from its main city of San Juan.
Founded in 2002 with the purchase of a 1950s winery it has a capacity of 50,000 hL with a cellar for wine storage in casks of French and American oak.
Owned by the Menin family, they have been working on recycling the buildings and incorporating the latest technology to optimise the winemaking process and output.
With four vineyards spread over the Valley, Las Invernadas has 258 ha in which to grow the best grapes of high quality varietals without recourse to any chemicals. The aspect of the vineyards means the grapes receives permanent sunlight; the light wind and abundant water that comes down from mountains combines with the stony ground to achieve a fruit forward crop leading to high quality, rounded wines.
Ricardo Roman is the Chief winemaker at Las Invernadas with over 15 years’ experience. His passion and experience helped transform the wines, where attention to detail in the winery and the tasting room has helped produce the quality, consistency and character that Las Invernadas is now renowned for.
